WHAT'S
THE PROJECT ABOUT?

We created this exhibition to remind the world about the ongoing war and the price Ukrainians pay daily in their fight for freedom. "Unissued Diplomas" honours the memory of Ukrainian students who will never graduate because their lives were taken by the russian invasion.

The "Unissued Diplomas" exhibition uncovers the stories of 36 Ukrainian students killed in the war.  It will be held in 45+ universities worldwide on February 24, which marks the anniversary of the day all Ukraine woke up from explosions. The exhibition will last until April 2.

NEVER GRADUATED, ETERNALLY HONORED

HALL OF DIPLOMAS

They used to spend their days in study halls. They had favourite classes and those they dreaded weekly. And how scary it was for them to even think of failing a midterm.

But
after February 24, everything changed for Ukrainian students. Classrooms turned into bomb shelters and battlefields. Fears changed its course and bravery took control.

Now, diplomas of some will never be issued. Because russia took the lives of their to-be owners in its attempt to take Ukraine's freedom.

DONATE TO SUPPORT UKRAINE

We want to support Ukrainian students who stay in Ukraine and sacrifice their time and education to work for Ukraine's freedom. We joined forces with a nonprofit, Second Front Ukraine Foundation, to launch an initiative called "Students for Students-Defenders."

Our goal is to raise USD 10,000 to buy medical supplies and three camera drones (DJI Mavic 3) for the intelligence needs of students fighting on the frontline.

THE MISSION

It is our honour to spread the life stories of the courageous students who would still be here if it wasn’t for the russian invasion.

Thus,
we are raising money for reconnaissance drones and medical supplies to speed up our victory and prevent further losses amongst Ukrainian youth. We believe in taking action when the freedom of our country is at stake.

THE TEAM

Girls and boys, students and graduates, in Ukraine and abroad — all 50 of us are quite different. But we united in our goal to commemorate the lost lives of Ukrainian students and remind the world that the full-scale war still goes on. And it takes innocent lives daily, student or not.

Co-organizer of the “Unissued Diplomas” project is SUSK — Ukrainian Canadian Students’ Union.
SUSK is a student organization which advocates concerns relevant to Ukrainian Canadian students. You can learn more about them at SUSK website.

WHO PROVIDED THE STORIES FOR DIPLOMAS?

This project wouldn’t be possible without the support of the Memorial memory platform that gathers and publishes information about Ukrainian civilian and military war casualties.
